Prior to being appointed as General Manager for ""Asharq News"", Alkhatib was General Manager at Al Arabiya Channel. AlKhatib commenced his career in journalism and documentaries making in 1991, after which he: - MBC Group's News Bureau Chief in Jerusalem - Managing the Media Institute in Beirzeit Universiry in Palestine, and heading the Media Bureau in the College of Literature in the same University for years. In 2004, AlKhatib moved to Dubai becoming the Executive Editor of Al Arabiya News channel and served as General Manager of the same channel in 2019. That same year he held the position of General Manager of Asharq News Services, assigned to launch its TV and digital platforms. AlKhatib holds a PhD in Communications and has experience in academia, lecturing in Emirati and Jordanian universities.
