Hadjer Bioud is a senior news anchor at Asharq News, with six years of experience at Algeria’s Ennahar TV, where she covered major events like the OPEC Summit and Chancellor Angela Merkel’s visit to Algeria. She has interviewed prominent figures such as Sir Christopher Evans, Daniel Wilson, and Taiye Selasi. Outside journalism, Hadjer worked as an assistant director on film projects and mentored students as an assistant lecturer at the University of Constantine. Hadjer holds a master’s in English (American and British Studies) and a bachelor’s in media and communication (Audiovisual Studies) from the University of Constantine. She’s currently pursuing a PhD in Anglo-Saxon civilization and literature and has participated in media training with TRT and the UN.
