Hadjer Bioud is a news anchor and program host at Asharq News. She joined the channel in 2020 and has covered assignments, from the 2024 U.S election to the U.S.-Iran war. In the field, she was Asharq's correspondent at the Gas Summit in Algeria and in Oman, reporting from the Strait of Hormuz before the Iran war. She previously worked as a news anchor and program host at Ennahar TV, covering events including German Chancelor visit to Algeria and the 2016 OPEC Summit. She holds a Master in American and British Studies and a BA in Media and Communication from the University of Constantine, and is pursuing a PhD on U.S. democracy-promotion policy in the MENA region.
